The American actor Samuel L. Jackson is one of the most respected and valued interpreters in Hollywood, but even he has not escaped the problems posed by addictions to drugs and alcohol. Now, the protagonist, among other roles, of Pulp Fiction, has spoken about the hell that was for him.
In an interview with Esquire magazine, Jackson reveals that he hit bottom on the day when “my daughter and my wife found me once unconscious on the floor of my house“. They then decided to call a friend, “who happened to be a therapist specialized in dealing with drug dependence”.
That day, Samuel L. Jackson had spent “the whole day getting tired of tequila” and then got some cocaine “to clear up”. He did not consume it, because before he fainted. “The next day I was in a detoxification clinic and at that time I was not even aware of how important it would be for me, but of course I was ready for it, the time had come.” I ended up getting tired of the effects of the drug, of all that wasted energy, “says the interpreter from Washington.
