Since Kim Jones came to Dior as Creative Director of Meanswear, everything has been perfection. But this show in Miami, reached another level. Partly because of his collaboration with Shawn Stussy (we will explain it to you below), but also because he joined the most unexpected and desired celebrity list of the moment; Kim Kardashian, Maluma and David Beckham.
Also attending were Bella Hadid, Kourtney Kardashian, model Winnie Harlow, Lily Allen, actor David Harbor, Ricky Martin and his husband, Kate Moss, blogger Bryanboy and artist James Blake. Without doubt an ultra eclectic combination of the coolest personalities of different industries. Of course, all dressed in the hottest accessories and garments of the brand, from those that are already a classic to those presented in that same parade.
The collection gave a softer touch to the male streetwear and was full of graphic prints, vibrant colors, chunky knits and even floral details. Of course, all contrasting with rigid accessories such as the saddle bag in metal and tailor suits. Creating a different final result, fresh and so incredible that there was no celeb that could resist attending.
About Shawn Stussy
He is a streetwear veteran who returned from retirement to collaborate in Dior’s Pre-Fall collection. WWD reported that it arose because Jones was using Stüssy, Shawn’s brand, from head to toe as a teenager, he was totally obsessed. This collaboration has been the veteran’s biggest project since 1996 that left its mark.
