Washington D.C. – New information has begun to immerse over House Resolution 6666 of the 116th Congress dated May 1st, 2020. This may seem like some kind of joke or possibly a hoax that is nearly impossible to conceive. But yes, it is true.
HR 6666 was submitted by Democrat Rep. Bobby Rush from Illinois and co-sponsored by 34 Democrat Representatives and 1 Republican Representative for the purpose of identifying individual with COVID-19.
Or as it’s official title states as it was introduced:
“To authorize the Secretary of Health and Human Services to award grants to eligible entities to conduct diagnostic testing for COVID-19, and related activities such as contact tracing, through mobile health units and, as necessary, at individuals’ residences, and for other purposes.”
This bill would provide $100 billion to organizations which perform testing for COVID–19, tracing of exposure to COVID–19, or provide services for individuals who are isolating at home. The money could be used either to pay for staff of organizations or purchase of personal protective equipment.

Whether intended or not, the bill is a hair raiser to say the least. While it’s detailed language speaks of funds to be used in underserved communities, it is perhaps very insensitive to perception or intent. The bill is also very vague, which can lead to significant interpretation. A total of 50 bills were submitted the same day as the TRACE Act, making the odds of selecting this exact number only 2% out of 100%.
