Staten Island, N.Y. – Today, a major response from FDNY, NYPD and EMT vehicles lined up a good portion of Victory Blvd in Staten Island in the Saint Georges area in response to a potential fire in a local combo laundromat plus residential building.
Eyewitnesses in the scene told VivoMix that the fire department was called due to huge amount of smoke that was coming out above the building and from the burning smell inside the laundromat. Their conclusion was that it was a clothes dryer that had caught fire and the smoke began to go out through the ventilation system on the roof of the building.
No injuries or notable damage was reported.
