33rd Annual 116th Street Festival
The 116th Street Festival is an annual June street fair in East Harlem, Manhattan. It offers family activities, food vendors and live music. The organizers are Abrazo Fraternal del Barrio Foundation.
The Festival is the day before the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. The entire weekend is filled with Puerto Rican cultural events. Hence it is formerly referred to as the Puerto Rican Festival.
The 116th Street Festival is the Northeast’s biggest Latin street fair. With El Barrio, 116th Street and 5th Ave been the largest spanish business hub in the city. More 200,000 was anticipated in attending this year’s enormous street party.
The 2018 116th Street Festival on Third Avenue span from 106th to 122nd St in East Harlem, Manhattan on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 11 am – 5 pm.
There were two stages at 106th St and 112th St.
The Festival is hosted by Tito Puente Jr. and co-hosted by Yaya Vargas.

The activity was filled with music, dancing, food and a sea of waving Puerto Rican flags. There’s was a lot of joy, but there were also moments of remembrance for the many who lost their lives and millions that suffered following the wake of Hurricane Maria and Irma.
