Queen Will Perform At The Oscar 2019 Awards Ceremony

Less than a week before the Oscars, the Academy is still reinforcing its list of performers, and its latest addition, they hope, will make you tremble with excitement.

The Academy said Monday that Queen, the band in the middle of the nomination for best film, with Bohemian Rhapsody, will be featured in the broadcast.

Adam Lambert, who started his career on “American Idol” and is currently in the shoes of Freddie Mercury in the band, tweeted “We will rock the Oscars”.

Bohemian Rhapsody has five nominations at the Oscars on Sunday.

The Academy gave no details on how it planned to present the Queen show, but earlier this month there were rumors that the group had been asked to open the show.

The artists will also be on stage representing the nominees for the best original song are: Jennifer Hudson will sing “I’ll Fight”, by RBG; Gillian Welch and David Rawlings will perform “When to Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” by The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, and Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will sing “Shallow” by A Star Is Born.

The Academy had previously announced a “surprise special guest” performance for “The Places I’ll Go” by Mary Poppins Returns. Later it was revealed that it was Bette Midler. No official announcement has been made about whether Kendrick Lamar and SZA will be presenting the Oscar nominated hit “All the Stars” by Black Panther.
