Actor Luke Perry Hospitalized After Suffering Stroke

Actor Luke Perry, protagonist of “Riverdale” and “90210”, has been admitted to the hospital since Thursday after suffering a massive stroke.

Although his prognosis is reserved, his representative has declared that Perry is under observation. Paramedics flocked to Luke Perry’s home in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, after receiving a call to help someone who had suffered a stroke. At this moment it is not known what is his current state, only that he is hospitalized near his house.

The news was reported just a few hours after the FOX company announced plans to make a “reboot” series of “90210” with the majority of its original casting. It was precisely in this legendary series of the nineties created by Adam Spelling where the actor played Dylan Mackey.  The project will involve most of the original cast (including Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, Tori spelling and Gabrielle Carteris). However, in those first reports on the “reboot” series Luke Perry was not included. The actor has been filming recently “Once Upon a time in Hollywood”, the new film by Quentin Tarantino starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt.  Perry is also known thanks to his roles as Pike in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and Billy in the film “The Fifth Element”.

After a few years in smaller productions, the actor reappeared on the international scene in 2016 thanks to the “Riverdale” series, adaptation of Archie’s comics where he gives life to the protagonist’s father, Fred Andrews.
