Actor Luke Perry Dies, 52

Actor Luke Perry died Monday at the age of 52 in Los Angeles after suffering a massive stroke last Wednesday.
Perry became famous in the 90’s for his role of Dylan McCabe  in the series Beverly Hills 90210 or, more recently, that of Fred Andrews in the series Riverdale, of Netflix.

Last Wednesday Perry had been admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles, where he was filming scenes for Riverdale.

According to a statement released by Arnold Robinson, Perry’s representative, the actor was accompanied by his family at the time of his death.  “The family appreciates the effusive support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from all over the world and respectfully asks for privacy at this time”, said Robinson.

In film, Perry had participated in films like “The Fifth Element ” and “8 seconds “.  The Fox channel had announced last week that a new version of Beverly Hills 90210 would be aired this summer, but it was not unveiled if Perry was going to be part of the production.

Actress Shannen Doherty (“Brenda ” in Beverly Hills 90210) said in an interview this Sunday to Entertainment Tonight that she had been in contact with him after his heart attack.  “I can’t talk about it here because I’m literally going to start crying, but I love him and he knows I love him. It’s Luke, he’s my Dylan” she said.
