President Donald Trump appeared on Monday by surprise at the press in the White House to pose next to ‘Conan’, the dog injured in the operation that ended the leader of the jihadist group Islamic State (EI), Abu Bakr al Bagdadi, and the one he decorated for his “fantastic work.”
The dog is amazing. So bright and so smart, ”said Trump, who was accompanied by Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, First Lady Melania.
"Conan is a tough cookie. Nobody's going to mess with Conan."

The can, a Belgian shepherd Malinois, chased Al Bagdadi through a tunnel in an enclosure located in northwestern Syria until the head of the IS was cornered and without options to leave alive, so he chose to detonate the explosives he carried over to commit suicide before being captured, in an operation carried out at the end of last October.
The president was the one who first announced the fundamental role of the dog in the operation carried out in Syria, which he reported was injured.
