Wonder Woman has an important message.
Gal Gadot shared a heartfelt message on Instagram on Wednesday and recruited her famous friends, including Amy Adams, Jimmy Fallon, Sia and more, to help spread some positivity in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Together, they sang a powerful version of John Lennon’s Imagine and reminded us that we are all connected.
“We are all in this together, we will get through it together,” the video Gal captioned. “Let’s imagine together. Sing with us. All the love for you, from me and my dear friends. #WeAreOne”.
Before beginning, Wonder Woman star went to the camera and shared that she was inspired by a powerful video of a man in Italy playing the song of the Beatles member on his balcony. “Day 6 in self-quarantine and I must say that these past few days have made me feel a bit philosophical,” he said. “It doesn’t matter who you are. Where you’re from. We’re all in this together.”
The star then began the first line of the classic song before passing it on to her Wonder Woman 1984 co-star Kristen Wiig to continue the song. After the fun Saturday Night Live star came Jamie Dornan, who showed off her singing skills and performed the next lyrics.
The 50 Shades of Gray star was followed by musicians Labrinth and James Marsden, who sang the first half of the last lyrics. Picking up where the Westworld star left off, Sarah Silverman did her best to end the verse with a bang and threw some falsettos.
For the second verse, singer Eddie Benjamin started and was followed by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, who recorded his part while taking a scenic drive. Natalie Portman was also enjoying the outdoors and gave the next part to Zoë Kravitz.
When it came time for the most iconic lyrics to the 1971 song, Sia took over and said, “Imagine all the people living today.” And of course she did it perfectly. Linda Carter also had a special appearance in the moving video. The original Wonder Woman star was handed over to Amy and she continued with the tune.
