Washington D.C. – President Donald Trump under a live press conference in White House announce that Chloroquine and Hydroxychloroquine which are drugs used to combat malaria have demonstrated the ability to treat and cure the Corona Virus COVID-19. In addition, a guide was published to help individuals protected themselves from being infected and possibly infecting others, “15 Days To Slow The Spread“.
There are reports that stockpiling of these drugs have begun for days from consumers in Africa and South Asia. This is predicted to become a critical problem in the price hikes and availability of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. Current knowledge of these drugs has caused a frenzy in the buying and potential overdose due to self medication. Nigeria has already reported cases of poisoning from these drugs as some individuals have overdosed due to auto-treatment.
The companies leading the effort to produce chloroquine are Bayer, Novartis, Mylan, and Teva. They expect to provide tens millions of tablets.
