Truckers Blockade in Canada Demand End to Vaccine Mandates and Resignation of Prime Minister

CANADA – Thousands of truckers made their way to block the highway from the U.S. to Ottawa, in Canada, to protest vaccine mandates. Since then, many have made their way to the Canadian Parliament creating a grid lock in the Capital. Many other individuals and particularly farmers have joined the convoy driving regular vehicles and pickup trucks. After the prime minister Justin Trudeau scorned and verbally bash the protesters, they have added his removal from office as part of their demands.

This all started after the latest attempt of the Canadian government to push enforcement of mass vaccination by mandating that all truckers entering Canada needed to show proof of vaccination. This was the last straw for Canadians of what has becoming a global phenomenon for governments in the United States and around the world to use their emergency powers and the COVID pandemic as a means to violate civil liberties. Similar protests have also been sparked in other countries despite heavy censorship and often negative press given by most media outlets said to be pandering to particular politicians and big pharma.

Despite the heavy mask and vaccine mandates, it is reported that prime minister Justin Trudeau has currently isolated himself due to a COVID infection. Leaving many wondering if he himself practices the many COVID restrictions he imposes on everyone else, and the effectiveness of these rules or lack thereof. Others believe that he fled from the capitol so not to face the protestors and converse with them.

Protestors are calling themselves The Freedom Convoy, and many are saying they will not leave until prime minister Trudeau steps down.

Given the shear mass of this rally, it has remained for the most part peaceful. Although, there was reports of small and isolated incidents such as a breaking to a food bank and urinating on some statues.

On a positive note, it seems that some law enforcement officers in Ottawa are showing their support for the protest by helping to distribute food to the protestors.

“I can’t get over how freaking amazing this is the police last night we’ve got videos of it then please we’re carrying hot food in to the to the drivers thank you so much you know you did an amazing job last night and you showed some real good compassion for these guys that are here understand we are exercising our right to a peaceful protest” said Pat King who is one of organizers of the truckers protest in a video.

While Justin Trudeau refuses to meet and converse with the protesters, he is criticized as a hypocrite by Indian media for exposing his double standards. “He’s response is two-face (referring to Trudeau). When the protests happen in Indian, it was the governments faults, the cops are tyrants, the ministers are unresponsive. But when the protest happens in Canada, the narrative changes. Trudeau calls these truckers a small ‘fringe minority’ holding unacceptable views, his words. That is precisely what the India government said that the protests were of a small farmer minority…,” said news reporter Palki Shama adding, “In 2020 when he wanted to protect his vote bank in Cananda, so he dives into the internal affairs of a sovereign country. Today, when he faces a similar situation, he fleas, he pretends like nothing is happening, and the Canadian media is playing along… similar to what happen in Indian.”

Shama concluded with, “This is a lesson for all self-righteous leaders out there, stop meddling in the affairs of other countries and if you do, if you do, make sure you hold yourself to the same standard, if you not you are just a hypocrite.”
