Emmy Awards Winner 2018

 

HBO’s “Game of Thrones” won the best drama series prize, while Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” nabbed best comedy series, winning a total of five awards, including best lead and supporting actress in a comedy. “Maisel’s” wins marked the end of an era for “Veep,” which was ineligible this year, but has won best comedy for the past three years, and whose star, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, has won best actress in a comedy for the past six straight years.

“The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” was another big winner on the night, taking home three awards, including best limited series. New HBO show “Barry” swept the comedic actor categories, with stars Bill Hader and Henry Winkler taking best lead and supporting actors in a comedy, and “The Crown” and “The Americans” were also multiple trophy winners.
