Pfizer $1.95 Billion Deal for COVID-19 Vaccines with US Government

Washington D.C. – On Wednesday 22nd, the United States government said it will pay $1.95 billion for Pfizer Inc to produce and deliver 100 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate in the United States.



Shares of Pfizer (PFE) are up premarket Thursday morning.

The U.S. government will be entitled to acquire an additional 500 million doses base on the agreement, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Defense said. (Reporting by Ankur Banerjee in Bengaluru; Editing by VivoMix)
